                                                                Pros and Cons of Online Dating

            Online dating is a way where people meet through the internet in the sake of starting a relationship. Although Tinder is a good social discovery application that facilitates communication between people, eliminates the awkwardness between them, and embraces the friends with benefits culture, it still has many disadvantages. No one can argue that many expectations through the internet are not met since when people meet online, they always have expectations. They may think that they have met their soul mates, but in reality, this situation can be very different because having connection online is much easier than in person that can lead to many disappointments if those two mates meet in real life and do not look the same as they assume while dating. in addition, distance play an important role in online dating since travel costs may be expensive in which mates can't cannot afford and eventually can't improve their relationship. Moreover, it's well documented that both sexes lie on internet about their ages, heights, income, and physical appearance."Over 8o% of online daters don't tell the truth. In essence, they are starting a relationship based on dishonesty" (Charles Orlando). So isn't better and easier to meet your partner in the real life?

                  On the other hand, the writer's point of view was obvious from some perspectives when he gave his three evidences that support online dating. "Technology has facilitated our lives and made it easier for us to communicate with our friends and relatives if they are living abroad. In addition, the chance of encountering a soul mate in a day to day life is small because our world is a very large place, especially if a person is too busy, nervous, anxious, or overly shy. By that, online website can be a great tool. Moreover, before meeting in person, online conservations allow a person to be more comfortable with the one whom is talking to before approaching him in person. This reduces the pressure and creates a good dating experience based on intimacy as the writer said “it eliminates the awkwardness of trying to meet people". Finally, online dating play an important role in exchanging cultures since when people from different cultures interact with others online, they start learning and embracing other's forms of traditions and habits, especially if they were outside their races.
