Have I misunderstood the
definition of an agreement, because it seems that I am struggling to recall
when I approved the conduction of this 'social contract' on my behalf.
Therefore I can imagine that I have been forced into it, forced to abide with national
and cultural laws and norms. I also can't see how this has been viewed as fair,
as the planet has been created free and as in any agreement, there must have
been negotiations before approving. However I have been born into this
world and this has been offered to me under compulsion and as it stands it
turns out I don't have a choice. I have displayed in the picture of the parking
meter my idea of the text, that I would like to present through my point of
view, that the grounds of this planet that have been created free, as there is
no restrictions or control over it by anyone, and under the laws of nature by
the rule of first come first serve, I have the right to practice any activity
in this spot. I also seem to lack the understanding of how civil liberty, which
has been described in the text as being limited by the general will, approves
the benefit of some by the land that has existed free in nature, and I question
ourselves, why are allowing the marketing of the resources available on this
planet that have been granted to us ever since life existed. Nevertheless, as
listed in the text by Roussaeu, I have realized that we have been deceived by
society, that this civil liberty isn't serving what it proposed to offer, and
that progress of civilization has substituted subservience to others for this
'freedom'. And since a return to the state of nature is neither feasible nor
desirable, then the purpose of the construction of a civil state is therefore meant
to restore freedom to us by the approval of the general will, thereby reconciling
who we are truly and essentially are with how we live together. Hence, if I might
as well abide with the social contract and lose some of my naturally granted
freedom, it definitely sounds fair to consequently receive weightily equal
benefits in return. Finally, my picture propels the idea even further, by
extending the boundaries of description to merge with a picture to keep in
mind, as to how the world has progressed to this day, as we pay to utilize
basic services that should be granted as a reward anyways, for the work and
effort each individual in society puts in to sustain civilization.Sunday, October 11, 2015
